Daniel Finch, COTA/L, has been a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant at Carter Rehabilitation & Aquatic Centers since December 2022. He earned his Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from Joyce University of Nursing and Health Sciences.
Daniel’s journey into occupational therapy was inspired by a desire to help others, something he felt was missing from his initial pursuit of mechanical engineering. With a natural ability to visualize and understand complex systems, Daniel originally considered a career in engineering. However, after his niece was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, he discovered occupational therapy. He realized that the same skills that made him adept at understanding machines could be applied to the human body, helping people heal and improve their mobility.
Daniel particularly enjoys working on shoulder rehabilitation. The intricacy of the shoulder joint fascinates him, and he relishes the challenge of diagnosing and solving the puzzles that arise when something isn’t working correctly.
Outside of the clinic, Daniel loves spending quality time with his wife and daughter. Together, they enjoy camping, dancing, and relaxing at the lake.
