Physical Therapist Assistant

Krista Kochendoerfer, PTA attended Professional Skills Institute where she obtained an Associate of Applied Science in Physical Therapy Assistant in 1994. Krista holds liscenses to practice in Michigan and Ohio.

The first five years of her career was with a company that had contracts in various settings, providing her with experience in skilled nursing, acute care and sub-acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, home health as well as outpatient. Krista found each setting to be very rewarding but began taking a special interest in outpatient care. In 2000 she joined Carter Rehabilitation & Aquatic Centers in Tecumseh. She takes pride in her work and loves to apply her knowledge and skills to improve patient’s quality of life and function. While Krista enjoys treating all diagnoses, she particularly enjoys treatment of shoulders and knees.

Krista is married to her husband Rob and they have two children, Alyssa and Jacob. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends when not working.
