Tori Hoard, PTA, is a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant at Carter Rehabilitation & Aquatic Center in Tecumseh, Michigan. She joined the team in August 2023, bringing with her a wealth of knowledge and experience in the field of physical therapy.
Tori began her journey in the field of physical therapy by earning a Bachelor's of Health Science with a focus on Pre-Physical Therapy and a Minor in Exercise Science from Oakland University in Rochester Hills, Michigan, in 2014. She furthered her education by obtaining her Physical Therapy Assistant degree from Macomb Community College in Clinton Township, Michigan, in 2018.
Tori is a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant, having earned her license in July 2018. She is also a Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS), a certification she achieved in September 2020. This certification reflects her dedication to providing specialized care for patients with brain injuries.
Tori has a particular interest in working with patients recovering from Spinal Cord Injuries, Brain Injuries, Multiple Sclerosis, and other various neurological conditions. She employs cognitive and behavioral techniques as a strategy to improve therapy sessions for those with varying levels of brain injuries. Her approach is patient-centered, and she is committed to helping her patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.
In her spare time, Tori enjoys staying active and exploring the outdoors. She is passionate about helping her patients regain their independence and improve their quality of life. Her dedication, expertise, and compassionate approach make her a valued member of the Carter Rehabilitation & Aquatic Centers team.
